Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) Inspection
The Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code determines how the building needs to be built and what inspections are necessary and when the inspections are to be performed. Any contractor can request an inspection of their work but the person who signed the permit application is ultimately responsible for the whole process.
The building permit process is different in each municipality, Please click on your municipality under Areas We Serve and see a list of the information that is required for your application.
After the Building Permit is issued a colored sheet entitled Inspection Notice will accompany the permit. It will outline what and when the inspections are needed.
